Description

Medical entrance exams are entrance exams conducted at the national or state level for admission to medical and dental courses offered by various medical institutions across the country. The two most popular medical entrance exams in India are the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) entrance exam.

NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses such as MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses. AIIMS entrance exam is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate medical and paramedical courses.

Apart from these two, there are several other state-level medical entrance exams conducted by state governments for admission to medical and dental courses in the respective states. Some of the popular state-level medical entrance exams are Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET), Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET), and West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).

Medical entrance exams are highly competitive, and candidates need to prepare well to secure a good rank and get admission to a top medical college. The syllabus for these exams includes topics such as physics, chemistry, biology, and general knowledge. The exam pattern may vary for different exams, but most exams follow the multiple-choice question format.
