MAT stands for Management Aptitude Test, and it is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). The exam is held four times a year in February, May, September, and December.
MAT scores are used for admission to various management programs in India, including MBA, PGDM, and other equivalent programs. MAT scores are accepted by over 600 business schools across India.
The MAT exam is conducted in both online and offline modes, and the test consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from five sections: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian and Global Environment.
The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the total number of questions is 200. Each question carries one mark, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
MAT scores are valid for one year, and candidates can take the exam multiple times if they wish to improve their scores.
